This was a fun one to crack into. It could have been better, sure, but it is still a great pour. I love the huge age leap and bottle deisgn for this release. Overall I think Heaven Hill did a great job here, and I'm glad they stayed true to the old adage of $10 per year. Cheers!

The first blended straight single malt from Root Shoot, they came out with an absolute bang. Aged 4 to 5 years, and at much higher proof than bottled in bond (120), this is a full flavored complex pour that is a great introduction to Root Shoot's take on American Single Malt. I'm definitely a fan and can't wait to write up a full review. 🥃

This is something I've wanted to try for a long time. This is their second batch, and by the time I figured out that Tamworth was secretly making incredible rye, the first batch was already sold out.
